The motel was awful! We only stayed cause there wasn't anything else available. They have 3 clubs in the same parking lot (including one in the motel) so it was a little scary. Do not stay at the Koko Inn!! Dirty, smells like smoke, scary, ac doesn't work very well, etc.
Reservation was for a non-smoking room, however, we were originally given a smoking room and told that "non-smoking" is a request, but not a guarantee. That was unacceptable and we had to talk to the manager in order to fix the problem! Hotel is run down, loud at night, moldy throughout, and the smell of cigarette smoke carried through the hotel.
The hotel was dirty, the rooms smelled like ash tray, the staff was not helpful at all, the manager was rude. The overall experience of the hotel was not a pleasant one
Microwave and fridge in room
No coffe pot or clock
Only place available in Lubbock for the night. I would not have chosen it otherwise. But, it turned out to be a rather enjoyable experience. Great staff, clean rooms, great price. It has a very impressive garden inside. It's an older hotel, past its heyday, but next time in Lubbock, that's where I'll go.
It needs to be spruced up in the outside, basically fresh paint and minor repairs.
It did have a beautiful atrium.
There was a nghtclub on site that played loud music until well past 1 a.m..
Dirty, nasty and just down right gross, with horrible service to kick it off. Room had black mold through out, beds that had to be at least 10 years old, electrical conduit and low voltage cables in the room. And a bar that plays volume at about 10 until 2am. But hey what was not to love, been sick for three days from my stay there and I left after one night.
Nice pool and liked the cafe inside the hotel
Very sketchy clientele. We were on an outside corner room. Bad Feng- shei to start with. Only one, slim, tall window with broken curtain hooks. Two of the lamps in the room were not working. I felt weirdly exposed, the loud noises of the people walking by outside made me a bit nervous too.
Very nice atrium inside and lounging area by the pool.
For the money, there's not much room left to complain.
it apears the clientel at the hotel has went down to mostly hookers and dope dealers, people running around yelling and bs all hours of the night.
The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions to locations within the city. While we didn't have children with us, I found the hotel very family friendly, seeing all the children and parents enjoying the pool. The staff at the on-site restaurant were also friendly and accomodating regarding food requests.
The carpeting in the room was in dire need of a carpet-cleaning service; actually the original charm of the hotel could be easily restored with a few updates and carpet replacement
The friendliness was outstanding as was the staff's attempt to help in any way. My brother was in the hospital and they took me to and from the hospital without thinking about it. I really appreciated the people. It seemed like guests were pretty satisfied with it too.
The rooms were pretty run down. But for the money it's pretty much what I expected.
Rooms were not up to clean standards . Rooms to overly priced for quality of cleanliness. Carpets had stains , bathroom lights were full of dust and looked moldy. Beds were dated and not all lights n room worked and pieces of wall was crumbling off from he stucco part. Hotel was not a classy place from the outside .
Friendly staff, beautiful inside, comfortable bed
It was very hot the a/c wasn't working. They had put a small fan in the room so I had to use that for the night
It was only $60 a night and we booked last minute before driving to Lubbock for my cousin's graduation ceremony at Texas Tech.
We arrived late at night and there were sketchy clubs all around, right near the Koko Inn. We did not feel safe leaving our car in the parking lot because there were drunk people roaming all around.
